2016 Velvet & Willow Riesling – Case

Tasting Notes
The 2016 Velvet & Willow Riesling is made from grapes grown in the St Claire vineyard, in Watervale. Being a young Riesling, it displays lovely, pungent citrus and floral aromas. On the palate there is a crisp, mouthful of lemon and citrus flavours leading to a lingering, crisp, gently acidic finish. This wine has all the hallmarks of a classy Clare Riesling.

Wine Making
Cool harvested, swiftly crushed and pressed, this wine was fermented in stainless steel so as to capture and preserve all the floral aromas and flavours of the grapes, making the wine as natural as possible.

If properly cellared, this wine will round out beautifully over the next few years as it matures, to become a classic aged Riesling.

Food Suggestion
At present, this wine is an ideal accompaniment for seafood, salads and chicken dishes. As it ages, it will become a fabulous aperitif.
