2015 Chalk & Cheese Grenache Shiraz – Case

Tasting Notes
The 2015 Chalk & Cheese Grenache Shiraz displays a beautiful bright colour, lovely aromas of plums black cherries, with hints of white pepper, dried herbs and just a trace of oak.
It has a flavoursome palate, showing cherries and blackberries, which is very alluring. It has some tight grippy tannins on the finish to balance out the whole package into a great blend, and making it a good food wine.

Wine Making
These top quality, low-yielding, fully ripened grapes were fermented in open vats before being matured in a combination of new and used French and American oak barrels.

Cellaring
Whilst this wine is alluring now, it will, over the next 3-5 years, mellow and round out to become a sensational wine which will give great enjoyment and then live for many more years if kept under good cellaring conditions.

Food Suggestion
By its very nature, this wine makes an ideal accompaniment to rich, hearty dishes. Especially barbequed meats or stews.

Alcohol – 14.3 %.
